Working together

From Recognition to Action

Built through a participatory, intercultural, and rights-based process, the Plan brings together priorities, strategies, and proposed actions to support Indigenous Women, their organizations, regional networks, States, donors, and allies in moving GR39 from recognition to implementation.

Its purpose is to guide coordinated action at local, national, regional, and global levels, ensuring that GR39 informs advocacy, public policies, institutional measures, resource mobilization, and accountability processes.

What does the Plan seek to do?

Strengthening capacities

So Indigenous Women, organizations, networks, and communities can use GR39 as a tool for advocacy, participation, and rights protection.

Advancing political advocacy

To promote the participation of Indigenous Women in decision-making spaces and influence laws, policies, and programs.

Supporting public policy and institutional action

So States and key actors adopt measures aligned with GR39 and the priorities of Indigenous Women and Girls.

Mobilizing resources

To ensure that implementation is supported with technical, financial, and institutional resources.

Monitoring progress and accountability

To document advances, identify gaps, generate evidence, and demand State compliance.
